TOWCESTER GREYHOUND STADIUM
This site is not an official website for the track shown here and is neither approved or endorsed by the stadium. I am indebted to Richard English for helping to construct this page. |
The Northamptonshire town of Towcester, so long a well-respected racecourse offering free entry to all, has a greyhound track on the inside of the racecourse. The track cost £1.5 million to develop and was the first new track to open in England for 19 years. The inaugural meeting took place on 6th December 2014 and full use is made of the racecourses Empress Stand to entertain diners. |
The track offers racing 3 days each week and includes both 6 and 8 dog races. |
This section gives a comprehensive picture of
the badges produced by the track throughout the ages, but only provides the briefest of
glimpses of its history. For those wishing to undertake further research we can recommend
a visit to http://astore.amazon.co.uk/wwwgreyhoundd-21 where further reading can be undertaken. |
